This is a great way to immerse oneself into the pastoral charm of La Gruyère Pre-Alps, far from the hassle of daily life. During your stay you will discover the region of Charmey and Jaun.

From Charmey to the Chalet du soldat, in the Jogne valley, immerse yourself in the charm of the Gruyère Pre-Alps, away from the daily hustle and bustle. Experience 3 days of hiking in the heart of nature from Charmey, around the magnificent Gastlosen chain, nicknamed "the dolomites of Switzerland".



DAY 1
The first stage will take you from Charmey to Jaun through the Jogne Valley, along the river. It is ideal for preparing for the next day, the hike is without difficulty. However, it can be extended to 3 or 7 hours of walking depending on your physical condition.


Alternate route 1: Additional hike to "Untere Jansegg" (1365 m) (3 hours)
Alternate route 2: Additional hike to the Hochmatt (2151 m) for good hikers (7 hours)
or
Charmey (887 m) – Jaun (1014 m) (3 hours), overnight in Hotel Wasserfall
Alternate route: Additional hike to Ritzli Alp (1510m) (2 hours 30)

DAY 2
The second stage will take you to the foot of the majestic Gastlosen, a superb path close to the summits with the crossing of the famous Col du Loup before arriving at the Chalet du Soldat, a small jewel perched on its high peak with breathtaking panoramic views.

Im Fang (922 m) - Chalet du Soldat (1752 m) through the Wolfpass (5 hours), overnight in Chalet du Soldat, at the foot of the Gastlosen

Jaun (1014 m) – Chalet du Soldat (1752 m) through the Chalet Grat and Wolfpass (4 hours 30), overnight in Chalet du Soldat, at the foot of the Gastlosen

DAY 3
The third and last day of the walk is done in the middle of nature through the primary forest of Lapé and the valley of Gros Mont before returning to the village of Charmey.

Chalet du Soldat (1752 m) - Charmey (887 m) through the "Sentier des chalets d'alpage" (5 hours)

Notes
- At the Chalet du Soldat, a sleeping bag liner is mandatory. They can be rented for CHF 5.-.
- The dogs are welcome in the Hotel Wasserfall.
- In the Chalet du Soldat, a dedicated room is available for the dogs.
- Luggage transport is not included.
