The Sentier des Comtes (Counts' Trail) connects Gruyères with Montbovon, on the edge of the canton. Themed hikes such as the agro-silvicultural trail complete the offer.
Historic villages to exploreCheese has influenced the organisation of space, the landscape, the architecture of farms and houses. In Estavannens, Villars-sous-Mont, Grandvillard and Lessoc, this rich past can be seen on the buildings and barns' exteriors.
