Getting to La Gruyère

The region of La Gruyère, located in the heart of Switzerland, is easily accessible by public transports and car.
Airplane
Our region is about an hour and a half away from Switzerland's three main airports, respectively Zurich-Kloten, Geneva-Cointrin and Basel-Mulhouse. The regional airport of Bern-Belp is less than an hour away from the area.

Car
FRIBOURG REGION is crossed by two of Switzerland's main motorway axes: the A1 motorway, which crosses Switzerland from east to west, and the A12, which links Berne to Vevey.

Swiss Travel System
For the persons who reside permanently outside Switzerland and the Principality of Liechtenstein, the Swiss Travel System offers attractive rates on packages when combining train, postal bus and boat.

Trains and public transport
Fribourg is on the country's main railway axe, which links Geneva to Zurich. In Switzerland, rail transport is operated by the SBB. In the Canton of Fribourg, the TPF are in charge of most of the public transport services.
